Richard's School of Motoring

Richard offers one-to-one tuition in his dual controlled car. Each lesson is tailored to your driving ability, based on your performance in previous lessons. Richard teaches you safe driving practices which are over and above the level required to pass the Driving Test

On your first lesson I will check your provisional driving licence (this is a legal requirement).

I will also check your eyesight; you must be able to read a car number plate at a distance of 67′ (20.5m)

I will then ask a few questions to assess your driving experience, then we will then start your first lesson.

I will drive the car to a suitable location and explain how the main controls work, what they are for, and how to use them.

By the end of the lesson you will be able to use all the main controls,

I will then record your progress on your personal record sheet and discuss with you what we will cover next week.

I understand that, as a new driver, you probably don’t want to be made to drive in busy traffic or do complicated manoeuvres so all lessons will be tailored to your learning pace, building your skill and confidence as quickly as possible.
