Richard is an approved driving instructor operating in Inverurie & surrounding areas who has over 25 years experience as a professional driver having driven all over the UK, Ireland and Europe.

Hi and welcome to Richard’s School of Motoring, which was established in 2003 by myself, Richard Barclay.

Before becoming a driving instructor I was a professional driver – driving LGV’s PCV’s all over the UK, Ireland and Europe – having covered many miles and I now have over 25 years’ experience in this field.

With the start of the new millennium I decided on a new career, so I hung up my keys and started training as a driving instructor. After qualifying in Inverness in May 2003, I set up Richard’s School of Motoring, based in Insch, Aberdeenshire. I have trained with some of the best instructor trainers in Inverness, London and Ireland so you can benefit from the best possible tuition. I have also sat, and passed, a multitude of advanced tests and hold certificates from the I.A.M., R.O.S.P.A., and Diamond advanced driving organizations.
